CebuDoc Group recognized the dedication of its outstanding physicians and partners who showed timeless service to the community through a Gala and Presidential Appreciation Night last Saturday, September 2, 2023. 

To celebrate the milestone of turning 51 years, CebuDoc Group gathered in one gratifying fellowship that carries the theme 51 Years of Healthcare Excellence: Sustaining Resiliency. This celebration comes with another wave of exemplary doctors and one partner who were handpicked as Presidential Distinct Awardees by no less than the CDG President and Chairman of the Board himself, Doctor Potenciano ‘Yong’ S.D Larrazabal III. 

This year, the awardees were categorized into specific fields that they are best recognized with namely, research studies, new centers of excellence, research Programs, medical education, and community service.

This year’s Presidential Medal of Distinction Awardees were as follows:

1. Doctor Maria Noemi Alsay – -Uy - Pioneering Oncology clinical trials and establishing the institutional review board of CebuDoc
2. Doctor Jerry Tan Chun Bing - for having the most number of clinical trials
3. Doctor Henry Chua - community service category
4. Justice Geraldine Faith Econg -  for supporting the Medical Missions of CebuDoc

In his speech, Doctor Potenciano Yong S.D Larrazabal III expresses his gratitude for the hard work of each participating resident, consultant, head, each employee that carries out the values of compassion, quality, innovation, and respect. 

“I always take the importance of every conversation that I make with the people that allowed me to grow and widen my mind to reach the depth of healthcare service. Because my scope could only do much on the surface, it is you, our physicians, and our partners that helped us bridge the most compassionate healthcare provision that we built within,” said the Chairman.

The night concluded with a warming fellowship filled with excellence, fun, and entertainment like a real CebuDoc Group family.
