No less than the Most Reverend José Serofia Palma, Archbishop of Cebu is the celebrant of the Golden Jubilee mass of the customarily compassionate healthcare facility in Visayas and Mindanao, Cebu Doctors University Hospital last Saturday, August 20, 2022.

The history of CebuDoc entailed that its values were shaped by the late founder Dr. Potenciano V. Larrazabal, Jr. who was known as a devout catholic and Sisters of Saint Paul Chartres who were the first administrators and heads of the hospital’s operations back in 1972. With this, it is no longer an unfamiliar custom that CebuDoc has valued the utmost representation of Christianity above all daily endeavors.

In line with this, the humble presence of the Archbishop is a valuable message of solemnity that the whole team of CebuDoc wants to convey for the 50th anniversary - to bring back all the Glory to the Highest Form.

Doctor Potenciano Larrazabal III, President and Chairman of CebuDoc Group express that the same principles that the founding leaders have engrained among each employee in the hospital - provide value-centered patient care to the Cebuano.

“Having the Archbishop in our commemoration is a hope that our stakeholders will learn valuable lessons that we can uphold in preserving health and life. We believe that it is so important as we continue onwards,” said Doctor Larrazabal III.

Further, the mass was held in the hospital’s Sacred Heart Chapel located on the 4th Floor that started at around 12:15 p.m.

All employees of the hospital were enjoined to attend as the cores were also present in what has been considered a celebration that will be imprinted in CebuDoc’s history. It is a solid foundation that the CebuDoc has never failed to return all the highest praise in every milestone.

“I think it is also a reintroduction to the public that CebuDoc has always been an institution that does not just offer innovations, but also a hospital that has deep sympathy, respect, and has a high regard for every life,” the chairman concluded.
