CebuDoc culminates the observance of the World Patient Safety Week with a ceremony that signifies its importance to the public thus emphasizing its compassionate healthcare provision to the community.

This year’s official slogan. ‘Medication Without Harm: Know. Check. Ask’, was given utmost significance as this was the primary value of the hospital since the beginning of its operation. Above all, employees of CebuDoc have aligned their daily endeavors with much tender service to the patient.

CebuDoc has been actively participating in the observance since September 17, which includes a distribution of flyers to the patients and employees of the hospital. Aside from this, some officers and supervisors of the hospital made rounds to educate the workers on the harmless medication.

Furthermore, no less than Dr. Jonathan Neil V. Erasmo, Local Health Support Division Chief of the Department of Health (DOH) in Central Visayas, has graced the culmination at the Medical Arts Building 2, Thursday afternoon, September 22, 2022.

During the culmination, several esteemed speakers imparted their wisdom on the theme. They were Miss Judee Colonia of the Pharmacy Department, who tackled the vital role of accurate medicine dispersion; Doctor Gerard S. Garcia on the importance of being keen during the medication process, and Dr. Erasmo of the DOH, who highlighted information dissemination to the health sectors as part of the health promotion.

“Let’s all celebrate world patient safety day because our patients deserve to be safe from medications," Doctor Garcia said during his talk.

“We need to know, we need to check, and we need to ask. That’s why health promotion is very crucial. We always anchor the universal healthcare,” Dr. Erasmo also said during his speech.

Doctor Jose Antonio Quiteves, Chairman of Clinical Governance, concluded the event with an assurance that patient safety has always been the priority of CebuDoc which will be sustained onwards.
